How Trailer Rentals Work

Book online, sign digitally, and get on the road with a trailer that fits your job.

Stamford Trailers makes local trailer rentals simple for homeowners, contractors, landscapers, and vehicle transport customers across Stamford and Fairfield County.

1. Choose Your Trailer & Dates

Select the trailer that fits your job, then choose your rental dates online.

You’ll see current availability, daily or weekly pricing, and the required security deposit before checkout.

Best for:
Dump trailer rentals, car hauler rentals, tow dolly rentals, cleanup jobs, local moves, equipment hauling, and vehicle transport.

2. Reserve Online

Complete your booking through our secure online checkout.

Your reservation will show the rental total, deposit amount, pickup or delivery details, and any required rental information.

3. Complete the Rental Agreement

After booking, you’ll receive a digital rental agreement to review and sign.

Before pickup or delivery, we may also verify:

Valid driver’s license
Valid auto insurance
Identity verification
Tow vehicle requirements, when applicable

This protects both the renter and the equipment.

4. Pickup or Delivery Confirmation

We’ll text you to confirm your pickup or delivery window.

For tow-yourself rentals, your vehicle must be properly equipped before pickup. Requirements may include a properly rated hitch, correct trailer ball, working trailer plug, and electric brake controller depending on the trailer.

Important: Trailer towing requirements vary by trailer. Always review the product page before booking.

5. Return, Inspection & Deposit Refund

Return the trailer on time, clean, and in the same condition it left.

After inspection, your security deposit refund is processed within 5–7 business days. Bank processing times may vary.

Additional charges may apply for late returns, damage, excessive debris, missing equipment, or improper use.

Important Towing Safety Notice

Do not tow trailers on Connecticut parkways.

All trailers are prohibited on Connecticut parkways, including the Merritt Parkway, Wilbur Cross Parkway, and Milford Parkway. The Connecticut DOT specifically states that trailers are not allowed on parkways.

Plan your route before pickup and avoid parkways when towing.
